Spring in Kaprun

Autumn in Kaprun

Golden autumn is definitely the best season for hiking. The sun is milder, the flora more colourful, the people are more relaxed. When the leaves start turning the hiker’s autumn has arrived. Use the off peak season between the Indian summer and early autumn for gorgeous hiking tours with the whole family or just the two of you within the stunning Nationalpark Hohe Tauern.

When the sun throws long shadows along the valley, and the mountains sparkle in the clear autumn air, the first fresh snow has already fallen on the Kitzsteinhorn. Leave the autumn mists below you in the valley and be the first to enjoy the crisp white powder of the year. For skiers, carvers and boarders, this is the peak time of the year to dive into the powder snow and enjoy the broad expanses of the uncrowded glacier.  Here, the Winter starts alredy middle of October.
